Parabolic SAR
Trailing dots that flip sides. Useful as conceptual trailing study; whipsaws in ranges.
Formula (conceptual view)
SAR steps with acceleration factor toward extremes (platform params: step/max).
Common parameters: Platform default (e.g. 0.02 / 0.2)
How to read
- ▸Dots below price ≈ long bias in the tool’s logic; above ≈ short — still not a full system.
- ▸In chop, SAR generates visual overtrading.
- ▸Compare with HH/HL before giving authority to the dots.
- ▸Educational trailing idea, not a holy grail.
Common mistakes
- ✕ Using SAR alone in a range.
- ✕ No spread/cost awareness on flips.
- ✕ Ignoring higher-TF climate.
